Section 27(1)(a) in The Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers-Farmers (Social Security and Welfare) Scheme, 2006

(a)In respect of the applications for relief or assistance under the scheme received by the Special Tahsildar (Social Security Scheme), the Village Administrative Officer shall make a thorough enquiry and verification on the application and then he shall submit his report to the concerned Firka Revenue Inspector. The Village Administrative Officer shall maintain separate registers for each category of the relief or assistance provided in the Scheme, as specified in Form No. XII. He shall make necessary entries in the relevant register on receipt of application under the Scheme. This register shall be checked by the higher officers periodically and Jamabandhi Officer at the time of Jamabandhi.
