If the licensee ceases to work the distillery without giving notice as required in his licence, or if he ceases to work the distillery within the period of such notice, the Collector may take possession of the distillery and its plant and work it by himself or by agency of any person authorised by him in that behalf for a period equivalent to the period of notice or unexpired period of notice, as the case may be.
