- Whoever contravenes the provisions of this Act or of any rule or regulation made thereunder of fails to comply with any notice, order or direction issued under this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder shall be punished with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees and with further fine which may extend to fifty rupees for every day on which such contravention or failure continues after the first conviction.
