(1)This Act may be called the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Gujarat.(3)This section shall come into force at once; and all or any of the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in respect of such class of panchayats, in such district and on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: and different dates may be appointed in respect of different classes of panchayats, different districts and different provisions.
