- This Act may be called "The Hackney-Carriage Act, 1879"; [* * *] [The words, 'and It shall came Into force', omitted by Act XVII of 1914, Section 3 and Schedule II.]Saving. - Nothing herein contained shall alter any power conferred by any law relating to the municipalities, on any rule made in exercise of any such power.
