18. False statements.
- If any person, when required by or under this Act to make any statement or to furnish any information, makes any statement of furnishes any information which is false in material particulars and which he knows or has reasonable cause to believe to be false or does not believe to be true, he shall be punishable with fine not exceeding two hundred rupees.
