Section 5(1) in Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, the functions of the Board shall be to guide, direct and assist the Planning Authorities, to advice the Government in matters relating to Town and Country Planning development and use of rural and urban land in the Union territory and to perform such other functions as the Government may, from time to time, assign to it under this Act.
