26. Power to supply water for non-domestic purposes.
(1)The Chief Engineer may, supply water for any purpose other than a domestic purpose, on such terms and conditions consistent with this Act and the regulations made thereunder on receiving a written application specifying the purpose for which such supply is required and the quantity likely to be consumed.(2)On the sanction of the application under sub-section (1), the Chief Engineer may, subject to such charges and rates as may be fixed by the regulations, lay or allow to be laid the necessary pipes and water fittings of such dimensions and descriptions as may be prescribed by the regulations and may arrange for the supply of water through such pipes and fittings.
