Section 30(2) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(2)The Dean shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall act as the Chairman of the Faculty and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the faithful observance of the Statutes and the Regulations relating to the Faculty In carrying out these responsibilities, the Dean shall work in close collaboration with other officers of the University and shall generally work through the Heads of Departments of the Faculty.
