Section 365 in The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888
365. Commissioner to provide for cleaning of streets and removal of refuse.
- For the purpose of securing the efficient scavenging and cleansing of all streets and premises, the Commissioner shall take measures for securing -(a)the daily surface cleansing of all streets in [Brihan Mumbai] [These words were substituted for the words 'Greater Bombay' by Maharashtra 25 of 1996, (w.e.f. 4.9.1996).] and the removal of the sweeping therefrom;(b)the removal of the contents of all receptacles and depots and of the accumulations at all places provided or appointed by him under section 367 or 368 for the temporary deposit of any of the matters specified in the said sections.
