Section 8(1) in Gujarat State Higher Education Council Act, 2016
(1)It shall be the general duty of the Council to co-ordinate and determine standards in institutions for higher education or research and scientific and technical institutions in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission or the State Government, from time to time.
