Section 132 in The Bihar and Orissa Local Self-Government Act, 1885

132. [ Consequences of supersession. [Substituted for the original section by B. and O. Act 1 of 1923.]

- When an order of supersession has been passed under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 131, the following consequences shall ensue, namely-(a)all the members of the District Board. Local Board or Union Committee shall from a date to be specified in the order, vacate their offices as such members;(b)all the powers and duties which may under the provisions of this or any other Act be exercised and performed by such District Board, Local Board or Union Committee shall, during the period of supersession, be exercised and performed by such persons as the [State] Government may direct;(c)all property vested in such District Board, Local Board or Union Committee shall during the period of supersession vest in [the State Government] [Substituted by the ALO for 'the Crown for the purposes of the Province'.]; and(d)before the expiration of the period of supersession elections shall be held [and where necessary, appointments shall be made] [Substituted by the Bihar LSG (Amendment) Act, 1950 (Bihar Act 40 of 1950) for 'and appointment made'.] for the purpose of reconstituting the District Board, Local Board or Union Committee.][[133. (1)If a dispute arises between two or more Union Committees which are subordinate to the same District Board or which have been declared by any order under Section 119 to be, for the purposes of the section, subordinate to the same Local Board, the matter shall be referred to such District Board or Local Board, as the case may be; and the decision of the Board thereon shall be final and binding.
(2)If a dispute arises between two or more Union Committees within the same district, and such Committees have not all been so declared to be subordinate to the same local Board, the matter shall be referred to the District Board and the decision of the District Board thereon shall be final and binding,]
