Section 31(2) in All India Institute of Medical Sciences Regulations, 2019
(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in these regulations, the Institute shall, if it is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to do so, have the right to terminate the term of office of Director at any time before the expiry of his term by giving him a notice of not less than three months in writing or three months salary and allowances in lieu thereof. The Director shall also have the right to relinquish his office at any time before the expiry of the fixed term by giving to the Institute a notice of not less than three months in writing.
