Section 5(1) in The U.P. Electricity Reforms Act, 1999
(1)The Chairperson or other member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office or till he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier and shall not be eligible for re-appointment.Provided that a member other than the Chairperson shall be eligible for appointment as Chairperson for the remaining period of his term as member.
