Section 1 in Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1985
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1985.(2)It shall extend to the whole of Guwahati Metropolitan Area excluding any area to which the provisions of the Cantonments Act, 1924 apply.(3)It shall cone into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette appoint.
