Section 1(5) in The Uttar Pradesh Prohibition Of Beggary Act, 1975
(5)On the commencement of this Act in any area of the State and to any class of persons in the manner provided in sub-sections (3) and (4) all corresponding laws in force in that area shall in relation to that class of persons cease to have effect and the provisions of section 6 of the U.P. General Clauses Act, 1904 shall apply to such cessation as they apply to the repeal of an enactment.
