Section 7 in Rules for the Biju Pattnaik Award for outstanding performance in promotion of Sports and Games
7. Nomination for the Awards.
- (i) Proposals for the awards shall be invited every year, through open advertisement copy of which will be available in the office of the District Collectors, S.Ps., Nehru Yuba Kendras, Orissa Council of Sports.(ii)Proposals can be sent by the individual sports associations/ State Journalist Association giving the past performances of the persons recommended in the National Contests generally and for the year of the award particularly.(iii)Sports Associations/State Journalist Association are free to recommend more than one name for a particular Award.(iv)The proposals for the awards can be sent directly to the Director, Sports & Youth Services, Orissa, Bhubaneswar.(v)Government in Sports & Youth Services Department reserves the right to send nominations in deserving cases.
