Section 39 in The Bombay Weights and Measures Act, 1932
39. Penalty for neglect or refusal to produce weight for inspection.
- Whoever neglects or refuses to produce for inspection all weights or measures or weighing or measuring instruments in his possession or on his premises or refuses to permit an inspector authorized to examine the same or any of them or obstructs the entry of the inspector under section 22 or otherwise obstructs or hinders him in the performance of his duties shall, on conviction, be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees five hundred.
