Section 15(3) in Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959
(3)A mayor or a [Deputy Mayor] [The word 'Deputy Mayor' omitted by U.P. Act 49 of 2007, S.8.] shall, unless he resigns or ceases to be qualified or becomes disqualified, continue in office until his successor assumes office as Mayor or [Deputy Mayor] [The word 'Deputy Mayor' omitted by U.P. Act 49 of 2007, S.8.] as the case may be.
