Section 4(1) in The Punjab Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Rules, 1993
(1)Every secondary standard shall be verified at any of the reference Standards Laboratories, in such manner and at such periodical intervals as prescribed under the Standards Act and shall, if found on such verification to conform to the standards established by or under that Act, be stamped by the Laboratory-in-charge of the Reference Standard Laboratory.
