Section 4(1) in The Commission Of Sati (Prevention) Act, 1987
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), if any person commits sati, whoever abets the commission of such sati, either directly or indirectly, shall be punishable with death or imprisonment for life and also be liable to fine.
