10. The Pro-Chancellor.
(1)The Minister in-charge of the portfolio of education in the [State of Tamil Nadu] [This expression was substituted for the expression 'State of Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] shall be the Pro-Chancellor of the University.(2)In the absence of the Chancellor, or during the Chancellor's inability to act, the Pro-Chancellor shall exercise all the powers of the Chancellor.
