Section 2(b) in The Orissa Muhammedan Marriages and Divorces Registration Act, 1949
(b)"Inspector-General of Registration" and "Registrar" respectively mean the officers so designated and appointed under the Indian Registration Act, 1008 (XVI of 1908) or any other law for the time being in force for the registration of documents;
