(1)When a committee, with the sanction of the State Government, has agreed with another committee or a Cantonment authority [-] [Words 'or the committee of an area notified under section 258' omitted by Haryana Act No.12 of 1979.] that in consideration of the payment of a lump sum or otherwise the [same limits for octroi or any toll or tax] [The words 'same limits for any toll or tax' subsituted vide Haryana Act No. 1 of 2000.] shall be established for the contracting parties, the committee may request the State Government to fix limits under section 200 so as to include so much of the area controlled by the said contracting parties as it may deem necessary, and shall have the powers of [collecting such toll or tax on animals] [Substituted for the words 'collecting such toll or tax on animals' substituted vide Haryana Act No. 1 of 2000.] or articles brought within such limits, and the provisions of this Act for the assessment and [collection of such tax or toll] [Substituted for the words 'collection of such tax or tall or octroi' vide Haryana Act No. 1 of 2000.] shall apply in the same way as if the said limits were wholly comprised in the area of the municipality.(2)The total of the proceeds of such taxes or tolls made, in the joint area of the municipality and Cantonment [-] [Words 'or notified area' omitted Haryana Act No.12 of 1979.] and the cost thereby incurred shall be apportioned between the municipal fund and the fund subject to the octroi of the Cantonment authority [- ] [Words 'or notified area' omitted by Haryana Act No.12 of 1979.] in such proportion as shall have been determined by the agreement.
