Section 262(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)The medical practitioner-in-charge of every hospital or maternity home or nursing home shall forward to the Registrar an intimation of each death occurring in the hospital, maternity home or nursing home and the case of each such death within twelve hours of the death.
