Section 36(1) in Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceeding Act, 2012
(1)Where the person who is called to succeed, renounces the inheritance, he shall be deemed to have never been an heir. There is no right of representation in this case. But the renunciation of the inheritance does not deprive the person who has renounced of the right to receive the legacies which might have been bequeathed to him.
