Section 5(1) in West Bengal Municipal Service Commission Act, 2018

(1)The State Government may, by notification, fix the amount of salaries and other allowances for the Chairman and Member of the Commission and for officers and other employees of the Commission:Provided that the condition of service of the Chairman or a Member shall not be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment.
