Section 1 in Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
1. Short title, application and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980.(2)Except as hereinafter otherwise provided in this Act, it applies only to Kolkata.(3)It shall come into force on such date' as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
