Section 4(c) in The Rajasthan Municipal Service (Revised Pay Scales) Rules, 1970
(c)where a member of the service has expired or expires before exercising his option, within the prescribed period, he may be deemed to have exercised his option in favour of the revised pay scale or the existing pay scale which ever is advantageous to him and his initial pay shall be fixed accordingly.(iii)The option once exercised be final.
