6. Methods of recruitment.
- [(1) Recruitment to the posts of Joint Director Level-I shall ordinarily be made by promotion from amongst the officers holding the posts of Joint Director Level-II. Recruitment to post of Joint Director Level-II shall ordinarily be made by promotion from amongst the officers holding the posts of Deputy Director who have completed at least four years of service as such on the 1st day of August of the year in which the vacancy arises.(2)Recruitment to all other posts in the Orissa Statistics and Economics Service Class-I shall ordinarily be made by promotion from amongst the officers holding the posts of Assistant Director, District Statistical Officer or other equivalent posts who have completed at least four years of service on the first day of August of the year in which the vacancy arises.] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1614/1989.]Explanation. - The expression "equivalent posts" refers to posts carrying equivalent scales of pay.
