2. Petitioner was running a Child Care Home after due registration under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 (hereinafter the Act of 2000). After the Act was replaced by the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (hereinafter the Act of 2015) and the Rules thereunder were published in the year 2018, the Petitioner is awaiting the re-registration under the Act of 2015. The Petitioner's application for re-registration was filed way back in the year 2018.

This Court had an occasion to consider all the aspects including requirement of re-registration under Section 41 of the Act of 2015, in the matter of Mother Teresa Balakashram, Run by Yogeshwar Bahu- Uddeshiya Sevabhavi Sanstha, Beed Versus The State of Maharashtra and the connected matters (Writ Petition No. 7821 of 2021, decided on 08.09.2022).
4. In the light of above and the reasons assigned by this Court in the matter of Mother Teresa (supra), the Petition is allowed. The Respondents are directed to process the Petitioner's application for registration and decide it finally in the light of the observations in the matter of Mother Teresa (supra), as expeditiously as possible and in any case within twelve weeks.
