Section 4(a) in The Bureau of Indian Standards (Recruitment to Scientific Cadre) Regulations, 2002
(a)persons from the erstwhile Indian Standards Institution Service Cadre shall be deemed to be members of the Scientific Cadre. The service rendered in Indian Standards Institution Service Cadre shall be counted as service under the Scientific Cadre in the equivalent post; and
