The Criminal Investigation Department shall be equipped with adequate facilities of scientific aids to investigation and forensic science including qualified and trained manpower, in accordance with the guidelines if any issued in this regard by the Directorate of Forensic Science or the Bureau of Police Research and Development of the Government of India.
