Section 02(11) in UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2019
11.03Admission of students to an Institution Deemed to be University, public or private, shall be strictly based on merit in the entrance exam prescribed by the appropriate statutory authority and in the manner specified in the prospectus, in case no entrance exam has been prescribed.
