Surya Kant, J. (Oral)
The petitioner challenges the prescription of maximum age for admission to five years and three years degree law courses as prescribed by the Bar Council of India.
Reliance is placed on a Division Bench decision of this Court dated 20.10.2011 passed in CWP No.20966 of 2010 (Rajan Sharma versus The Bar Council of India and another) and other connected matters (Annexure P-3). The petitioner has, in this regard, made a representation on 15.6.2012 (Annexure P-4) to the authorities of the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the nature of relief sought in this writ petition, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent CWP No.15234 of 2012 [2] No.2 to consider and dispose of the above mentioned representation of the petitioner in the light of the Division Bench decision of this Court in Rajan Sharma's case (supra), as early as possible but not later than one month from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
Ordered accordingly.
