Section 7(1) in Himachal Pradesh Specified Essential Commodities (Regulation of Distribution) Order, 2019
(1)A fair price shop holder shall register ration cards issued by the concerned specified authority in whose jurisdiction the shop is located. He may, however, register cards of other areas, if specifically permitted to do so through an order by the Controller. However, he shall not register ration cards if the total number of units registered with him exceeds the maximum units if such ceiling is specified by the Controller in this behalf:Provided that the Controller may by an order exempt any fair price shop from the restriction imposed under this clause.
