Section 107(1) in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994
(1)A teacher of a private college shall not be disqualified for continuing as such teacher merely on the ground that he has been elected or nominated as a member of the Legislative Assembly or of the Legislative Council of the State or of Parliament.
