(2)Nothing in sub-section (1) shall have application in respect of -(i)ex-officio members referred to in section 18(a), Class I but not including members of the Syndicate who are not otherwise members of the Senate referred to in item (9); and(ii)ex-officio members referred to in section 21 (b), Class I.
