Section 437 in The U.P. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1968

For purposes of election of the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman under Rule 436, nominations of candidates shall be invited in the meeting itself. Election after withdrawals, if any, shall be held by show of hands. In the event of equality of votes the issue shall be decided by drawing of lots. The meeting shall be presided over by one of the members of the committee to be chosen for the purpose.
