(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, for the purposes of this Act, the Central Government may, by notification, confer on any officer of the Central Government or State Government or Committee, the power of arrest, investigation, search and seizure and prosecution exercisable by a police officer under the said Code.
