Section 268(1) in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981
(1)The Government may make rules -(a)for the regulation or restriction of the use or development of sites for building; and(b)for the regulation or restriction of building including the location, design, construction, its use for residence, commerce, trade, industry, recreation, culture and other purposes; and(c)for the regulation of erection, maintenance and safety of building.
