THIS C.C.C. IS COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY,
B. VEERAPPA, J., MADE THE FOLLOWING:

                                ORDER

The complainant has filed the present contempt petition under the provisions of Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to take action against the accused for willful disobedience of the order dated 6-6-2017 passed in Writ Petition Nos.1334-1335 of 2015 wherein, the learned Single Judge directed the accused to take note of the registration fee, if any, which was payable on the registered documents and after excluding such amount, the remaining portion of the amount to be refunded to the petitioner-complainant as expeditiously as possible, but not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. -3- CCC No. 102 of 2019

2. Being aggrieved by the order of a learned Single Judge, the accused preferred Writ Appeal No.3901 of 2019 and the same came to be disposed of on 16-3-2021 with a direction to the accused to refund the excess stamp duty within three weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of that judgment.

3. Today, the learned High Court Government Pleader has a filed memo along with a receipt issued by Department of Treasuries for having paid the refund of revenue bill. Same is taken on record. Hence, the orders passed by the learned Single Judge has been complied with.

In view of the above, the contempt proceedings are hereby dropped, subject to realisation of the amount in favour of the complainant.
