6. Resignation of office by members and filling up of casual vacancies.
(1)A nominated member may resign his office by giving notice thereof in writing to the Government and on the resignation being accepted, he shall be deemed to have vacated his office as such.(2)A casual vacancy in the office of a nominated member shall be filled by nomination of another person from the concerned category and a member so nominated shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of the office of his predecessor.(3)No act or proceedings of the Board shall be invalid on the ground merely of the existence of any vacancy in, or any defect in the Constitution of, the Board.
