(1)Every Police officer shall on appointment receive an insignia and a certificate in the form as may be prescribed. The certificate in respect of officers below the rank of Inspector of Police shall be issued under the seal of the Director General of Police or such officer as he shall appoint, by virtue of which the person holding such certificate shall be vested with the powers, functions and privileges of a Police Officer.
