Section 124(1) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(1)The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that all work places where excavation or tunneling work are carried out shall be adequately illuminated in accordance with the relevant national standards.
