The Court made the following:
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO

WRIT PETITION No. 34099 of 2018

ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Education (TG).

2. Petitioner claims to have worked as Contract Lecturer in Government Junior College, Karepalli, Khammam district from July, 2008 to July 2012. In the year 2018, petitioner makes an application to consider her for appointment as Contract Lecturer. Such request of the petitioner was rejected by the order impugned in the writ petition. It is seen from the reply given to the petitioner that detailed reasons are assigned for not granting renewal of the contract to the petitioner.

3. It is not in dispute that after 2012 petitioner is not working. Petitioner was Contract Lecturer having specific tenure of one year and was renewed from time to time, the last renewal ended in the year 2012 and thereafter no renewal was granted. Merely because, petitioner earlier worked as Contract Lecturer, assuming that there is requirement of Contract Lecturers, now she cannot as a matter of course request for re-engagement without following the due procedure. As petitioner has no manner of right, the order impugned in the writ petition rejecting the request of petitioner for renewal of his employment as Contract Lecturer cannot be held as vitiated warranting interference of this Court.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
