742. Disposal of female convicts not provided for in the preceding rule.
(1)Every female convict who is not liable to be transferred under the provisions of the preceding rule, shall ordinarily be detained in the jail to which she is, in the first instance, committed:Provided that such jail possesses suitable and adequate accommodation for the purpose and subject to the limits thereof.(2)When the number of female convicts, confined in any jail is in excess of the accommodation available for such convicts in such jail, the number of such convicts in excess of such accommodation shall, without regard to the length of the term of the sentences to be undergone by them, respectively, ordinarily be transferred to the Ludhiana Female Jail.
