Prayers: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take note of the completion of tenure of the President post held by the petitioner of Perur Chetti Palayam Panchayat, Thondamuthur Panchayat Union, Coimbatore District and follow the procedure prescribed under the Tamilnadu Building Rules 1997 Rules before taking any action under the Tamilnadu Panchayat Act 1994.

Heard Mr.R.Singaravelan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Shanmuga Sundar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take note of the completion of tenure of the President post held by the petitioner of Perur Chetti Palayam Panchayat, Thondamuthur Panchayat Union, Coimbatore District and follow the procedure prescribed under the Tamil Nadu Building Rules 1997, before taking any action under the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act 1994.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that action against the petitioner has been taken as per the relevant rules and the same would be pursued in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
