In Re:- Beli Basak .. Petitioner.

                     Mr.Sourav Chatterjee
Ms.Anusua Banik .. for the petitioner.

Ms.Debjani Sahu .. for the State.

The petitioner, apprehending arrest in connection with Chanchal P.S. Case No.235 of 2015 dated 27.05.2015 under sections 255/258/259/260/120B of the Indian Penal Code, has approached this Court for anticipatory bail.

Heard the learned advocates appearing on behalf of the parties. Perused the case diary.

It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner is the owner of a photo copy shop at the compound of the Chanchal Sub-Divisional Court.

Acting on a source information, the police held a raid there and recovered huge numbers of fake stamp papers and court fee papers. This is what we find from perusal of the case diary.

Having regard to the nature of allegation and the materials collected in support of the same and further considering the seriousness thereof and the 2 gravity of the offence, in our opinion, this is not a fit case for anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this application for anticipatory bail stands rejected.
