1. Short title and Commencement.-

(1)This Act may be called the Central Laws (Extension to Jammu and Kashmir) Act, 1968.
(2)It shall come into force on such [date] [The Act came into force on 15-8-1968, see Gazette of India, 9-8-68, Pt.II, Section 3(i)] as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
